Fish Keepers do you wish their was a way to educate people about fish?

I have seen questions about fish on here that make me sick. Someone wanted to put a Jack Dempsey a Severum and a Convict chilid with twenty other things in one tank.
JJ i’m talking about people who wake up and buy fish. No reaserch. If u open any book it tells u have 30 40 50 gallons for goldfish. It’s not that hard to figure out things like that.

    Thats onr reason there are sites like this. So people can educate themselves. They ask and we all try to answer the best we can. At least people are asking!

    I would agree.Thats why we try to educate people when they ask questions.It takes yearssss of experience in how to properly maintain a community and know what fish to mix.

    Some people are just retarded with all respect. They want to put goldfish in their 10 gallon tank and some want to put like 50 fish in a 20 gallon. SOme people need to think about what they are doing before going out and buying fish.

    im an aquariast with 8+ years of frshwater experience. it pisses me off so much when i see uncared-for fish i suggest to people that i know who are getting fish to buy a book on tropical fish first.

    That’s why there are sites like this one.
    Don’t forget that all of us with years of experience were at one time that idiot with 3 goldfish in a 10 gallon aquarium.
    No One reads a book and sets up their aquarium and has it perfect the first time.
    I was lucky enough to have a friend who was very knowledgeable and help me get started. He also made it fun which is why I am still doing this after 20 years.
    What ticks me off more then uniformed people is the informed people who scream and put down people trying to figure something out.
    Yes i want people to care for their pets properly but I also ant them to have fun, that’s what make this an enjoyable hobby.
