The answer is a &quot;catch well&quot;.  You build a barrier in the ocean that prevents the fish from escaping, but keeps them alive and put your catch in there.  Then you can just take them out with your hands or a net and eat when necessary.  A lot of fishing boats have this feature built in for the same reason.</description>
