How long does it take for ich to overtake fish?

I have a fish tank with ich (white spot disease), and I am wondering if a dose of 2 week medication will eradicate it.

Also how fatal is ich to scaled fish?

    Well, I ended up getting some fish from a different pet store about a year ago. I didn’t quarantine them, and I just threw them in with the rest of my community. Within a week, I started to notice some mucus or white film on some of the fish. The next day, I noticed the white spots, and I lost a lot of fish. I put the blue medicine in the tank, and noticed some of my fish were recovering within a few days.

    That’s just my experience. Hope your fish feel better.
