Ive heard that too idk I get people who say once a week too. Idk for me I feed them once everyday at night and if I skip a day I dont worry about it cause they would be fine

I feed my large fish 3 times a day what they can eat in 30 seconds, and I skip a day each week.
If you over feed your fish they will have problems resulting in you having problems.

It depends on what size your fish is and what their diet consists of. If you have small goldfish-like fish, you can do either. 2x/day would be a little larger with the portions, while the 3x/day would have smaller portions and would be easier for them to digest, continually moving nutrients throughout their body. And that way that have sustenance to keep living on their own if you decide to go somewhere for an overnight or two, and have no way of feeding them.
both r rite it all depends on the amount ur serving. i feed my fish twice a day. you just gotta make sure ur not over feeding cuz that can make them sick & start changing ur water which can get them sick & kill them
