I just bought a ready to use shop light and took it apart and mounted it on my wood fish tank canopy. their were 2 wires that were screwed together on the medal fixture ( to ground it ) .. And now i dont know how to ground those two wires beacuse EVERYTHING is mounted on my WOOD canopy. what should i do ?> One wire is white the other wire is yellow with a green strip.,
the ballast is powered by a 3 prong plug, that you plug in the wall.

Your ballast is already grounded by the ground wire that goes to your 3 prong plug. You don’t need any more grounding than that. If you want to do anything more, install a Ground-Fault-Interrupter, so you don’t get electrocuted mixing water with electricity. Those are the only things you can do here.
