What are some fish that I can put in my 1-gallon aquarium?

Fish
I can only have a 1-gallon aquarium in my dorm room, and am wondering what kind of fish, and how many I can keep in it. I want the fish to be comfortable in the space.
I have four bettas, each of which are in one gallon bowls at home. They are thriving just fine. One of them is five years old.

I wouldn’t put any fish in a 1 gallon. You can however put a small shrimp colony. I would go for a few Cherry Red Shrimp.

1 gold fish
1 Beta
2 or 3 neon tetras
2 guppies maybe.
a 1 gallon tank is not really big enough for more than 1 or 2 fish.
The rule of thumb is 1 inch of fish per gallon, so in 1 gallon, you can have 1 one inch fish, 2 half inch fishes, etc.

None.
No fish will be comfortable in a 1-gallon tank. A Betta requires a minimum of 5-gallons to thrive, and all other fish need much larger tanks.
Additionally, a 1-gallon tank is nearly if not completely impossible to heat/cycle/filter properly.
I suggest that you consider upgrading to a (heated & filtered,) 5-gallon aquarium, which is really not that large, cycling it well, (http://www.firsttankguide.net/cycle.php ) and housing one Betta.
If you must keep the 1-gallon, and you can figure out a way to heat it, you could probably get away with a shrimp or two and a snail, with a few plants.
Here is a good site for researching fish profiles/requirements:
And, because I’m sure you’ll have many people suggesting that you stuff a Betta in there:
Finally, be sure that you have a plan for your fish’s care over vacations etc. before you decide to get one.
Good luck.

Or none.
There’s a difference between thriving and being alive. I wouldn’t even keep a snail in a 1 gallon, completely unfair for the fish. Bettas are active little fish, there’s no room to do anything in a 1 gallon.

There is only fish you can put in there are shrimp, but if you want a betta and you have good experience, then ok. Congrats on the 5 year old. And you may want to chage your name, the elections over.
