I am taking Fish Oil, heard some good things about taking it, but what really are the benefits of taking it? Can someone share what they know? If you can give me some practical examples too of the difference in someone who takes it and doesn’t if you know of any?

supplements in general are contested by doctors. no one really knows if your body even absorbs them or if they pass right on through. nutrients contained in food are in a form your body recognizes and can deal with. some doctors believe the pills arent even absorbed by the body, but pass on through because they are not in a form the body knows how to process.
omega3 has been shown to work wonders on nerve tissue such as the brain and spinal chord. fish oils are really important for the mind to work correctly. there is a balance though. unfortunately we have poluted our waters, and all fish contains heavy metals such as mercury. even the pills you buy have it. if you overdo them you can cause yourself problems.

fish oil has omega fatty acids, which the body does not produce but needs to help immune functions (keep u healthy). also helps with skin health and i believe your joints also. u gotta take it daily though for it to feel any benifits.
The body needs EFA’s (essential fatty acids, OMEGA 3’s) for “good fats” in the body. It helps with the proper digestion & distribution of protein/carbs. It also helps the joints move fluidly. There are multiple articles in to explain the scientific details of the benefits and the physioloy of the body.
Keep in mind: If you eat nuts (cashews, almonds), fish/tuna and use things like virgin olive oil, sunflower oil, flaxseed in your food/cooking (in limited amounts) you often do not need to supplement with the pills. Aim for about 15-20% of your dietary nutrition to come from good fats.
