Hehehe.....you could ask an electrician. Seeing as we are the ones commonly using fish tapes. 

Different fish tapes are good for different applications. But by far the most that I have seen use 1/8 metal fish tapes of various material. But depending on what your doing that is not always the case.</description>

there is nylon also I believe. I used mostly nylon since it bends around corners easily.</description>
