What is a fish that can withstand a variety of temperatures?

Fish
Hi, I’m thinking of buying a fish, but I’m not sure exactly what fish I want to buy. I had two guppies but they both died, so I was wondering if there are any fish that can withstand a wide variety of temperatures (besides beta fish). My mom won’t get me a water heater, so I need a fish that can withstand temperatures somewhere from the high-sixties to mid-eighties.
Thank you!

a gold fish can stand temp. from 60 degrees F. to 80 degrees F. they dont need a heater. they do need an air pump and air stone to put air into the water. they also need a filter. get a fairly large tank. about 10 gallons. they like big spaces, but a 5 gallon tank works too.

The only fish you can keep with out a heater is the Goldfish. Sorry but if you can’t have a heater you can’t have tropical fish.
BUT i have heard that paradise fish can live in cooler water. 62 – 80 degrees F.

White Cloud Minnows.
They can survive from near freezing up to tropical temps and dont requre a huge tank. You will NEED a power filter in your tank though.
Goldfish are adaptable to a wide temp range as well, but they grow large, so need a much bigger tank.

gold fish and turtles
mosqutio fish, White cloud minnows and goldfish are all excellent candidates and can all withstand flux’s in temperatures. Yes goldfish can take an 80 degree or higher for a few hours at a time.

The fish I most commonly recommend for aquariums without a heater are White Clouds. They’re beautiful cold water fish that come from mountain streams in China. They love room temperature and can handle a variety of temps though mid eighties is a little too high for them. If your home really gets this hot in the summer then put them in a cooler area like the floor or basement for the time it’s that hot.
The best fish to withstand a range of temperatures is the Desert Pup fish. It can go from near freezing to above 100 degrees farenheight during the day. Even though this was your question I think the explaination above is more helpful.

try koi carp, they are colorful and when they get too large for your indoor aquarium you can build a pond for them outside and they will do fine. sk
