What is the best temperature for my tropical fish tank?

I have a 20 gallon with no live plants. My fish include 1 blue gourami, 1 elect. blue chiclid, 4 tiger barbs, and 1 bala shark. I plan to get a loach or maybe 2. What should my tank temp be, incorporating all of these fish?

that’s a pretty diverse group of fish, so it’s hard to be sure. the average tropical fish tank temp is around 75 degrees, but going a little higher (like to 77-79 degrees) will not hurt.

100 degrees celcius
The Mexican Flu – Swine Flu
A rough 75-78 f, and an entirely new tank to segregate the cichlid into.

77F (25C) is a good average temp.

You should keep it about 26 degrees Celsius or 78-79 Fahrenheit.

76 +/- 2 degrees should be fine.
However, your tank is far too small for that Bala Shark. It will outgrow your tank fairly quickly. Most of the common loaches will also grow too large for your tank, and you certainly don’t have room for a shoal of them. I’d suggest that you expand your shoal of Tiger Barbs instead of adding in larger fishes.
