Believe it or not, I was satisfied with Wal-mart's decorations. They're selection isn't the best but the paint won't bubble or chip off like the two I bought at Petco. Luckily I was still cycling and hadn't added fish yet.

I think you should get plastic plants because they don't die and if you have a big tank you can probably get those plastic treasure chests that shoot up bubbles! Those are AWSOME!

What ever you do do not get live plants, as mollys, and all other livebearing fish munch them up. and then you start getting loads of floating plants... it's so not worth it.
You can get some really realistic plastic plants these days, and also some nice backdrops to put behind the tank to give it that extra 'zang'. =]
And, neon tetras look AMAZING when you put like a big cave in, and all you can see is their glowing bits inside the cave. 8-)

Something that doesn't have a lot of grooves in in. Where the poop can get into and then you have to clean it less. Plants look nice. Caves are good for hiding. Just make it look fun. and pretty. It represents YOU..so have fun with it.

<a href="http://www.matemedia.com">Small Business Web Hosting</a>

I would recommend live plants. This helps add oxygen, take in nitrates, take in nutrients that would otherwise go towards algae growth, and still provide good hiding places. The best live plants, I think, are the anubias. They don't require bright lighting. Banana plants are also really nice and don't need to be buried in the gravel.

As for fake decorations, try to get ones that have hiding spaces, but don't have small holes where the fish can get stuck or go in and hide all the time.

One thing I would not recommend is driftwood. This tends to tinge the water a yellowish brown, even after soaking it in a bucket of water for days at a time before placing it in the tank. Over time, it also seems to deteriorate in the water. Some people may recommend different types of driftwood..but I'm just basing this on personal experience.
